Fabian’s Food: Peanut Butter Porridge with Banana and Cacao

Just when our kids are pulling away from us, it’s time to make breakfast interesting!

Can also be served as a pudding, or substitute Nutella for the Peanut Butter (smooth or crunchy)

Ingredients:

1 cup rolled oats

Water to cover

Half cup almond milk

half a banana

1 tbsp sugar

3 tbsp chunky peanut butter

Sprinkle of cacao

 

Preparation:

In a medium size saucepan add rolled oat, water and bring to a simmer

When most water has disappeared, add to another saucepan 4 tablespoons of mixture

Then add almond milk sugar and peanut butter

Mix with a wooden spoon until you get a creamy consistency

Serve piping hot in a bowl with sliced banana and grate cacao, pinch of cinnamon to taste
